Georgetown Village provides a wide array of services to ensure members can continue to live comfortably in the homes and neighborhood they love.
Transportation
Volunteer drivers are available to provide round-trip transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, to perform errands, to Village programs, etc. At least 48 hours notice is requested for transportation requests.
Indoor & Outdoor Home Assistance
Need a light bulb changed, decorations hung, or leaves raked? These are just a few of the services Georgetown Village offers to our members. We have wonderful volunteers who are happy to assist you with in-home assistance and outdoor yard assistance.
Tech Support
Do you have a question about using your phone, computer, TV, or other electronic device? Our volunteers are available to assist members in person and remotely with issues such as downloading new apps, streaming online services, printer installation, replacing ink cartridges, etc.
Friendly Phone Calls and Visits
The Village offers daily friendly check-in calls for our members to promote a sense of safety as well as community connection, particularly for those members who live alone. Village volunteers also serve as friendly walking buddies and make visits to members in the hospital.
Durable Medical Equipment Loans
The Village maintains a supply of durable medical equipment to assist with mobility. Wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and other items are available for long-term loan to our members. We are also happy to lend these items at no charge to those living in the community.
Short-Term Case Management
When a member is facing a crisis, major transition, or complex situation, the Village can connect them with short-term professional social work support through our partnership with Aging and Amazing. Learn more about Aging and Amazing here.
Notary Services
Georgetown Village offers free notarizing services for members and volunteers. This service can be provided both at the Village Square and in a member's home. Notarizing at the Village Square is also available to community members for a donation to the Village.
Preferred Provider Lists
The Village curates lists of preferred providers, recommended by the community, to help members confidently choose professional services when needed. These lists include a wide variety of service providers, including home health aides, electricians, plumbers, and more.
